OBJECTS FOR MEMORY
Research into the area of food preparation and consumption, and its role in our social and cultural lives, is becoming more and more prominent as globalization creates a growing interest in the food and eating habits of other cultures. Along with this comes an increasing interest in the relationship between containers and content, between food and the utensils we use to prepare it. The Screaming Plate Project examines through ethnographic research people’s experience of food, food related objects and food environments to create new meaningful tableware in a variety of contexts.
